An important reminder on Tuesday 6 November 7pm-9pm a new series of events called, ‘You Believe’ will begin as part of the Year of Faith for all youth and young adults in the diocese.  The inaugural talk will be given by the Archbishop Vincent Nichols.  Please come along to support and participate in this important event. More details can be found here.

 

Our second reminder is that the closing date for all completed registrations and deposits for World Youth Rio 2013 (21 – 29 July) is 16 November 2012, don’t miss out!  More details here.

 

We are nearly there! Expect our new Youth Ministry section on the diocesan website to be ready for you to browse in a few weeks time - thanks to all those who have contributed to its content.

 

Other news

 

The Good Counsel Network offers practical help and moral support to women who feel pressurised in having their pregnancy terminated. Good Counsel Network are having their annual fundraising ball on the 10 November, which is attended by many young adults every year.

 

Catholic Underground : Eucharistic Adoration at St Patrick's Parish with live music afterwards from Ooberfuse a UK based Catholic group on the 17 November at 7:30pm.

 

Towards Advent Festival 2012 will be opened by Archbishop Vincent Nicholls at 10.30am on Saturday 24 November in Westminster Cathedral Hall, music from the choir of St Benedict's School, Ealing, stalls and displays from a wide range of Catholic groups and organisations. Includes guest appearance by Marcus Grodi from the EWTN the international Catholic TV network. Admission to the Festival is FREE! Doors open 10am.

 

Called to the Priesthood? The diocese is organising a day for men 18+ pondering His call on the 24 November at Allen Hall. More details can be found here.

Vocations Discernment Group : Called to the Priesthood?

Saturday 24 November 10am to 5pm. 28 Beaufort Street, London, SW3 5AA.

Mgr Mark O’Toole, Rector of Allen Hall seminary, will be leading a retreat day at Allen Hall for men aged 18+ who are discerning a possible calling to the priesthood.

Holy Hour in the Little Oratory (the chapel beneath St Wilfrid's Hall). Spend time with our Eucharistic Lord with other young people aged 18 - 35.

SS Alban & St Stephen Young Adults Retreat

Saturday 10 November, 2.30pm.  Ss Alban & Stephen Parish Hall, AL1 3RB.

SS Alban & St Stephen Young Adults Year of Faith. “Faith in Jesus” Young Catholic Adult (18-35ish) Retreat Afternoon. We’ll join the parish for Mass at 6pm and then go for a meal at a local Italian restaurant.
