Pilgrimage to Lourdes
Lourdes - If you have visited Lourdes, you can tell us your stories on Westminster Talk!
The blessing I received in Lourdes is an experience I will treasure all the days of my life. It was the first step to becoming a better christian filled with the gifts of Holy spirit in the presence of our Blessed lady. You feel her presence, love and peace. My husband was truely converted and my children have enjoyed working as red caps which has taught them to understand 'service to others' and compassion. We've been 3 times and hope to continue every year. It is the best rewarding experience ever for us!

As a valued member, of the Westminster Choir and Orchestra, in which I play my saxophone and help John Marseglia set up the sound, and also the photographer for Bushey, this was my second pilgrimage to Lourdes. Again I found it a very moving experience, seeing pilgrims everywhere, amongst redcaps, helping them in everyway. I have lost two valued family member this year, it was a time of sorrow and mourning in my family, so lots of prayers and petitions were brought with me this year, in which I placed in them in the Grotto. The experience of Lourdes, is indescribable, one of the most magical feelings a human being can recieve, by being closer to God. And when you feel the power of God, through the Rosary, Confession, or even through the mass or helping the sick, you are becoming a better Christian. And Red-Caps working with God to help the unable, And through my own personal experience of lighting my parish candle and blessing it, you really recieve God in your heart.

My non catholic husband and myself have just come back from Lourdes. He was the first to visit this special spiritual place in 2002 and on his return he decided that we had to go together. After a serious hillnesses myself and my husband we went. The peace and confort that we received is indescribible. This time we went with the Wenstminster group and it was MAGICAL. What a wonderful organisation!!! without the red-cap help we would not been able to partecipate to all the wonderful functions. Well done and thank you from the bottom of our heart.
