We are currently seeking a term time Pastoral Assistant to assist in the running of catechetical programmes at The Immaculate Heart of Mary parish, Hayes. S/he will be responsible for co-ordinating sacramental programs including RCIA, Baptism preparation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, Children’s Liturgy and Marriage preparation as well as other RE programs as required. S/he will also co-ordinate the recruitment and ongoing training of all the catechists in the parish programmes, and be encouraged to build strong partnerships with the local Catholic primary schools and state schools within the parish area.

The successful applicant will be experienced in catechetical and pastoral ministry, and must be a strong team player with excellent communication and administrative skills. Experience in a similar role would be preferred but is not essential.

It is important that the successful applicant is motivated, organised and able to work to their own initiative within this role.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (term time, rota basis as agreed) Salary: £9.50p/h
