Cardinal leads rededication of Mount Carmel School

posted on 18 October 2006

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor visited Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Ealing on Wednesday 18th October to say Mass in the school and lead the rededication of its new building.

The Cardinal said a prayer of rededication during the Mass, at which all of the pupils and staff were present, along with many of the school's governors and Mayor Councillor Diana Pagan.

Over the past two years the school has undergone an extensive building and refurbishment programme. Head Teacher Mrs. Josephine Wales paid tribute to the contributions of the staff, parents, governors, Community Association and most of all the children to the development of the school.  The Cardinal presented foundation governor Mr. Greg McGrath with a Diocesan medal in recognition of his pivotal role in the building process.
