Opening evening for Degree in Pastoral Mission

Heythrop College have teamed up with the Diocese of Westminster's Agency for Evangelisation to produce a Foundation Degree in Pastoral Mission. On Wednesday 17 March, there will be an open evening starting at 6.30pm for all those who are interested in learning more about the course and how it could aid them in supporting the Church's local parish mission.

Bilingual school to open in the Diocese of Westminster

A bilingual school, only the second one to exist in England, is to open in the Diocese of Westminster. The scheme, involving Holy Cross Catholic Primary School and L’école Marie d’Orliac, will allow 56 primary school pupils from the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to be receive a free state education in both French and English.

The University Catholic Lecture: Faith in the Academy

Archbishop Vincent Nichols will deliver this year's Annual University Catholic Lecture, hosted by UCLU Catholic Society and the University Chaplaincy, on Tuesday 23 March 2010 in the Jeremy Bentham Room on Gower Street. Click on the link to view the event on Facebook.

Faith Matters: watch, read, debate

Archbishop Vincent Nichols will give the final talk of the current Faith Matters series next week on Tuesday 16 March 2010. It is entirely free to come and listen to the Archbishop's lecture, which is on the theme of 'The Priest as a Witness', in Westminster Cathedral Hall at 7pm. Advance booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

CAFOD in Brazil

CAFOD's partner in Brazil, Sueli Machado, will be giving a talk in Mary Immaculate and St Gregory's Church in Barnet on Thursday 11 March at 7.30pm. Sueli will be talking about what it's like to work with the 3 million living in Sao Paulo's shanty towns as well as how the generous donations from the people of the Diocese of Westminster are supporting people to find their own solutions to working their way out of poverty. All are welcome.
