On the 2nd Sunday of Lent 2008, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor came to celebrate the 9.15am Mass with us. He later wrote to us: "It was good to be at St Augustine's and I was pleased with the warmth and vibrancy of the congregation. It is clearly a 'young' parish with a great number of young parents and families who are keen to be involved in their faith and in the building up of the parish community."
After the Mass on 24th February, the Cardinal stayed for quite a while to greet the parishioners and join them for coffee in the crypt-hall.
