Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor Golden Jubilee

A special Jubilee Mass for the Religious of the Diocese of Westminster was celebrated at Westminster Cathedral on Sunday, 20th October, 2006, followed by a reception in the Cathedral Hall

Thousands of Catholics opened the doors in a special way to people in their own communities and to the wider community last weekend (14th-16th July) as part of the Diocesan Festival of Faith: Open the Doors.

The Cathedral saw a joyous celebration of Eastertide at the 6pm Mass on Saturday 20th May. A special welcome had been extended to people with learning disabilities throughout the Diocese, and Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor presided at the Mass.

Westminster Cathedral's Choir School held a special Open Day on May 6th 2006 to help discover new musical talent.

754 adults in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster have taken the penultimate step in their journey to become Catholics by taking part in the 2006 “Rite of Election” ceremonies held at Westminster Cathedral, London SW1, which concluded on Sunday 5th March 2006.
