Small communities have been part of the Church's wisdom for centuries. In Scripture we hear of how the early Church met in their houses to break open the word and to share in Christ's body (Acts 2: 42-47). In the years since Vatican II many small communities have been established, allowing individuals to meet regularly to pray and to grow in companionship with each other, building trust and thus encouraging the growth of faith.
These pages are designed to support existing small communities in the Diocese of Westminster and to give ideas to parishes and those others who wish to form and run a small community.
