The Archives searchroom is normally open, by prior appointment, on Mondays and Wednesdays between 12pm and 5pm.
Appointments are required for those wishing to consult any material from the collection. Prospective users should contact the Diocesan Archivist in order to arrange an appointment.
We offer a research service for those requiring research to be carried out on their behalf. The fee is £8.50 per half hour. The minimum research fee is £8.50 for half hour and the maximum amount of time which we will spend on a commission is 2 hours.
For those wishing us to look up register entries (baptisms, confirmations, marriages, and burials) we offer s special fee of £2.50 per year specific entry.
Photocopies or digital photographs of material can be made upon request, providing that the material will not be damaged by the process. A full list of fees is available upon request.
