I write this to encourage the smcll communities as we often don't appreciate the impact that the small weekly gatherings might be having on people. The meetings are very uplifting and supportive. This was especially brought home to me this week when we were reflecting on what we can do to 'give someone hope and encouragement when they have doubts, fears and anxieties' A member of our small community expressed deeply how the group have helped her to get thorugh a very most difficult time in her life without the group even realising what they have done; that the group gave her hope and encouragement. I was so touched. To God be the glory. Eucharia

It is great to hear so many people have attended the preparation workshops for Christ Among Us. We know from the experience of the last three years that if the small group leaders are prepared, the experience of parishioners is deeper. Best wishes to you all as you invite participation this Lent.

I have just watched the introductory DVD on the website with the Cardinal encouraging us for the future. To see and hear him , the images of young people in our diocese and the Celebration Mass for the end of AYWL made me feel very proud to be a Catholic. This is my family for eternity and together we can make a difference.Thank you Cardinal for being such a voice of hope and gentle encouragement to us.
I can't wait to get this out to others in the parish to encourage them. Rachel Pugh
