Becoming a Catholic
If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Catholic the best person to speak to in the first instance is your local parish priest. Please follow the link for our Parish Directory
If you are an adult who has not been baptized and/or confirmed in any Christian Church and would like to explore the possibility of becoming Catholic then the normal process is to join a programme called the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) which should be available in your local parish. This programme can lead to becoming a full member of the Church through baptism and reception into the Church in a ceremony held at the Easter Vigil. It can also serve as a period of discernment and discovery about what it means to be Catholic.
