Below are some accommodation options if you are visiting London and wish to stay in a Catholic environment. If you are a religious community or organisation in London which has rooms available and would like to be added to this list, please send us an email. 

  • Daughters of Charity Convent 

Eight bedrooms are available in this convent (just around the corner from Westminster Cathedral) for priests and religious sisters as well as members of the Vincentian family. The suggested donation for rooms is £30 (single) or £45 (double) per night which includes a self-service Continental breakfast. It is advisable to book well in advance as these rooms are usually booked up several months ahead.

  • Franciscan Sisters of Malta 

Approximately ten bedrooms are available in this convent situated right behind Victoria Coach Station. Rooms are charged at £32 per night for bed and breakfast or £28 per person twin share. It is advisable to book well in advance.

Allen Hall Seminary 

The diocesan seminary is located in the heart of Chelsea on the site of the “Great House” which was once the house of St. Thomas More, Chancellor to King Henry VIII. Accommodation is available for July and August only. For more information please contact the seminary directly or visit their website.

Conference Facilities 

Below is a list of some conference venues situated in the Diocese of Westminster. If you are a Catholic institution or organisation in London who have conference facilities available and would like to be added to this list, please send us an email.

Central London 

  • Heythrop College  

Heythrop College has a number of rooms available to suit groups of 4-5 people up to 100 people.  Catering is also available on site.  If you would like more details, please contact Judith Crimmins, Executive Officer and PA to the Principal, on 0207 795 4207 or

  • Maria Assumpta Pastoral and Education Centre 

The Maria Assumpta Centre is an ecumenical initiative of the Religious of the Assumption.  The Centre provides educational and pastoral resources to foster human development and the conference facilities form a central part of this initiative. There are a wide variety of rooms available for short term hire to organisations which share the Centre's ethos and these can accommodate groups from 2 -150. The Centre is a place of prayer, peace and mutual concern and is set in beautiful grounds in the heart of Kensington. Visual aids are available on request, as are microphones and pianos. Catering is also available and a comprehensive cafeteria is open Monday-Friday, 7.45a.m. - 7.00 p.m. For more information contact Conference Services on 020 7361 4704 or or visit the Centre’s website.

  •  Westminster Cathedral Hall 

This large, beautifully decorated hall on Ambrosden Avenue next to the Cathedral is a versatile location with a stage, gallery and fully equipped kitchen. The Hall can accommodate many different kinds of function from musical recitals to cocktail receptions to examinations, seating up to 400 people (including the gallery).
