This Week's Gospel Verse |
Pentecost Sunday - Birthday of the Church
On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."
When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you."
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."
John 23:19-23 | |

The Eucharist - Study Proramme - Fr. Robert Barron
Christ is ALIVE . . .and Truly Present in The Eucharist!
Delve into the central mystery of our Faith by taking a deeper look at this most Holy Sacrament. This new, spiritual study program will give you a deeper understanding of the precious gift of Christ’s Divine Life that you can receive at each and every Mass - hosted by Fr Robert Barron. He is an acclaimed author, theologian and podcasting priest and has been called “one of the Church’s best messengers” by Cardinal Francis George, Archbishop of Chicago, and “possibly the most thoughtful and effective evangelist of culture” by George Weigel.
Please join us as we discover and celebrate what Vatican II called the “source and summit of the Christian life.” This 5-week study on the Eucharist starts on Monday 13th of May, from 7-8pm in the presbytery. Details of this programme can be found on the parish facebook page. Logon and register your interest. All are welcome!
